Few weeks ago , the whole Fashion world was shocked
by an absolutely unexpected news : 19 year old brilliant
IT black supermodel Chanel Iman is pregnant , this news is officially published in Teen Vogue November 2009’s issue featuring Chanel Iman and Jourdan Dunn – you can see the whole photoshoot by photographer Patrick Demarchelier in the previous post : Chanel Iman & Jourdan Dunn for Teenvogue .

In this Magazine details about Jourdan ‘s pregnancy are revealed : Dunn says her situation is “really hard,” and worries about what her family and boyfriend will think — not to mention her modeling agency. "When i told my mom , she started crying and blaming herself , she got pregnant with me at the same age , and she said , I don't want you to have to go through what I did" Jourdan said . Jourdan Dunn is not visibly pregnant on the cover, and Teen Vogue Editor-in-Chief Amy Astley said the magazine didn't know about Dunn's pregnancy until after the photo shoot. But she said that editors didn't consider pulling the cover Dunn shares with fellow model Chanel Iman.

"Teen pregnancy is a difficult, real-life issue that Teen Vogue readers (with an average age of 18) are mature enough to be exposed to," Astley said in a statement. "Teen Vogue felt it was important to support, not punish, Jourdan Dunn, who contributed to a beautiful photo shoot and who will surely have an ongoing and successful career in fashion." The cover has raised eyebrows among some parents, teens and advocates against teen pregnancy.

Vogue.com confirmed Jourdan Dunn’s situation featuring her in their series : Expecting in style stating the future mom’s designers selection. instead of trashing her over the fact that she is only 19, they embraced the British-It-Girl on her new baby .

Reactions about Jourdan Dunn’s pregnancy

The first thing I can say is that Jourdan doesn’t look depressive or anything , all the contrary she looks proud and happy and OMG she looks more gorgeous than ever .

A spokesperson for Storm, Jourdan's modelling agency, added she has been overwhelmed by the amount of support and kind wishes she has received. The model has a close network of family and friends and has been receiving huge support from them too, as she prepares for her new arrival . Her representative said: "Jourdan is delighted and really excited. She's had lots of lovely personal messages of support from all her friends in the fashion industry and it's great news. We wish her all the best."
Sessilee Lopez commented on The Fashion Spot, implying that Jourdan, like Karolina Kurkova, is expecting a boy: "Everyone is so excited and can't wait to welcome him into the world!!!!"
Despite her young age, Jourdan Dunn has been with the same boyfriend now for several years and the couple is eagerly anticipating the baby's arrival.
